The Franciscan Laboratories ETS Association, founded in 2024, is inspired by the spirit and values of Francis of Assisi and Anthony of Padova, with the goal of enhancing the cultural, socio-cultural, and educational heritage of the Province.

The Office of Cultural Heritage and Activities of the Province, active since 2024, is tasked with supporting the Province, its Definitory, and the Commission for “Cultural Activities and Management of Historical-Artistic Heritage.

Antoniano Museum

The Antoniano Museum in Padova is part of the complex of the Basilica and Convent of Saint Anthony of Padova and is located in the Cloister of Blessed Luca (also known as the Cloister of the Carts or the Infirmary cloister).

Bologna

St. Francis Library, Bologna

The San Francesco Library is located in the great hall on the southern side of the Basilica of the same name and forms the western side of the cloister known as the “Cloister of the Dead”. It was built in the 13th century as the convent’s “old” refectory and, in the following century, was frescoed by Francesco da Rimini with scenes from the life of Christ and of Saint Francis.

Dante Centre

The Dante Centre was founded in Ravenna by Father Severino Ragazzini (1920–1986) on the eve of the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri’s birth. The Institute carries forward a precious legacy: the longstanding relationship between Dante and the Franciscan world.

St. Anthony the Doctor Theological Institute

In keeping with the historic Franciscan theological and spiritual tradition—of which Padova has been one of the key centers—the Friars Minor Conventual’s St. Anthony the Doctor Theological Institute is dedicated to carrying forward this legacy.
